Edit: I don't care about character posting much anymore. Just prove you can RP or at least hold a decent conversation if you want in.

Edit: First of all, while I'm leaving the storyline I came up with there, you can basically ignore it. We usually do fantasy, but will probably do any genre eventually. Just suggest it. You can still control however many characters, including enemies and one-time, random village people. And you don't have to use all of your characters every time.

Original characters are preferred over descriptions of your favorite cartoon character. Do not godmode. That includes but is not limited to: having amazing powers that no one else can match, or having far more powers than your character could possibly learn (this is okay if everyone has it, though); outright undoing someone else's post in some way other than your character making an effort to fix what he/she sees as a problem; incapacitating another character without giving him/her a chance to fight back (includes breaking weapons with little/no effort, or resistance from the owner); dodging EVERYTHING (you can dodge a lot, especially if you character is made to do so, but eventually you should take at least some partial hits if things go on long enough).

You do not have to post your character before you can use him/her. Just get it up here eventually.

When you first join, just ask to join and for a quick recap, and join. If you don't play like a complete moron or act like a jerk, you can be a member. Just ask when you think it's been long enough, and you should be promoted to member. (Promotions to...whatever may also be given on a whim by higher ranking members.)

When in a situation in which there are undeveloped characters (residents of the area of nameless minions and monsters) please, if one character is controlling them, at least offer to control some, such as the ones interacting with his/her character so that he/she can be surprised, and to decrease the workload.

Never take over someone else's storyline. If they're on a ship, don't say it crashed just because you like islands better. Give reasons and causes, and allow the other players to stop whatever change or take effort against it if they don't want to switch. And please don't upgrade other people's characters without their consent. It is an insult of their ability to write and create these characters.



Old stuff: About a month ago, a man's beautiful dream was about to come true. His machine that would connect the entire galaxy together and make quick interplanetary travel possible was ready for testing. Or so he thought. Though it was made of perhaps the strongest metal in the known universe, it couldn't hold together, and when it blew up, it took its creator and the planet with it.

The ripples of ennergy had another effect, howver. Although they faded after a short distance when looking at the size or outer space, they contained a great and strange power. This power, a tainted version of the force that would have transported ships across the universe, instead transported anything in range to a different one. In this universe, instead of advanced technology, there was magic. Most of the inhabitants there didn't trust the newcomers or their devices. This is where the story begins.


My Characters:
Fluridimus: The young leader of an orgainization that seemed willing to take on any job they liked the sound of, he and his best fighter, Frus, were flying their ships past the planet when the test was taking place, probably to find out how the machine worked and give the information to a client. He doesn't like close-range fighting and prefers to use a sniper rifle or, now, a longbow, or better yet, make plans for someone else.

Frus: A small, furry, silver alien, Frus wouldn't seem as strong as he is. But with the ability to control many common metals and even draw them from the ground, he proves his worth quickly, although he often ends up just making bullets.

Orolyn: The newest member, she is a rare beetle fairy (fairy who can turn into a beetle to escape notice and cast certain spells) who Fluridimus and Frus saved from the planet's balck market soon after reaching the planet. She joined them in building a new branch of their organization. Her light based powers are so strong that they cause her to be protected as long as there are enough good vibes. In short, team damage is off, for her at least. She bonded her powers with Fluridimus, and she gets a little stronger with him around.
